Introduction

Thank you for taking an interest in contributing to our site.

NOTE: There are several files to help support Contributing Writers at the bottom of this page.

A special forum has also been set up to support our contributing writers, join the 'Contributing Writers' usergoup in the forums for access to this special area.

Here are a few questions that are frequently asked to use before work is submitted, however if you have a question that is not answered here, please email me and I will do my best to get back to you with an answer as soon as possible.

Where do I send my contributions?
What games do you support?
What editions of (A)D&D do you accept submissions for?
Do you accept programs that I have written to help in roleplay games?
Can I submit fantasy artwork?
Do you accept work that is not mine?
Do you accept roleplay core rulebooks that I have typed up or OCR'ed?
What file formats do you support?
Will the work still belong to me after it has been hosted at Dragonsfoot?
I found some of my work on your site that I would like removed, what do I do to achieve this?

Where do I send my contributions?
Please send Footprints submissions to footprints@dragonsfoot.org. All other submissions should be sent to the site editor, who will pass on the material to the correct section editor. The site editors address is submissions@dragonsfoot.org. In either case, please can you put all of the files you are sending into one ZIP file and include the appropriate cover sheet (see downloads, below).

What games do you support?
We support any roleplay games. We do not have any allegiance to any particular system or game developer.

What editions of (A)D&D do you accept submissions for?
We accept submissions for all pre-3E editions of (A)D&D and thier simulacra. Please identify the edition of the game you material is designed for, it would be helpful if you could also indicate any additional editions of (A)D&D that your work is compatible with.

Do you accept programs that I have written to help in roleplay games?
Yes or course, any files that aid the preparation or running of a roleplay game are warmly welcomed. Please indicate the platform and recommended specifications when submitting the file.

Can I submit fantasy artwork?
Yes, so long as it is your own work and not scanned artwork that is not your creation or 'borrowed' from another site!

Do you accept work that is not mine?
Unless you have permission from the author, no.

Do you accept roleplay core rulebooks that I have typed up or OCR'ed?
Unless you have the written permission of the game designers in question, then no.

What file formats do you support?
We prefer text to be submitted in Microsoft Word format or Open Office ODT format and artwork in Photoshop, Illustrator or CC2 format. Download the submissions document detailed below.

Will the work still belong to me after it has been hosted at Dragonsfoot?

Yes. We honour your right to keep your work as your own. We will not take ownership of material that is submitted. In fact we actively try to protect your rights and will follow up any misdemeanours we hear about.

I found some of my work on your site that I would like removed, what do I do to achieve this?
Please email me using the address given at the top of this page, and I will look into the issue. We want all our visitors to be happy.
